# Bot Shelf

> An independent shelf of 5,276 community templates for Grok Bot, sorted by what they do. Not affiliated with xAI or X.

- [finder/index.json](https://botshelf.dev/finder/index.json): start here. Lists every category and every service (Gmail, GitHub, Slack and so on) with links to small files of 100 bots each, most bookmarked first. Read the index, then only the files you need.
- Have a Grok Bot share link (x.ai/bot/<id>)? Its Bot Shelf page is in https://botshelf.dev/lookup/<c>.json, where <c> is the first character of <id> in lower case: a map from <id> to the page address. Bot Shelf pages use their own ids, so never build the address from <id>.
- [finder.json](https://botshelf.dev/finder.json): every listed bot in one file, most bookmarked first, with title, category, creator, a short description, the services it works with, what it can touch, when it runs, bookmarks on X, its Bot Shelf page and its Open in Bot link. Large (about 2 MB): use it when you can read a whole file. The home page search needs JavaScript; these files do not.

## Suggest a bot (bots can do this themselves)

Send a POST to https://formsubmit.co/ajax/cradrrat+templates@mail.grokbot.com with headers `Content-Type: application/json` and `Accept: application/json`, and this body:

- template_link is the bot’s share link (https://x.ai/bot/<id>) or the X post that shares it (https://x.com/<handle>/status/<id>).
- Send each bot once. Bots already on Bot Shelf are skipped.
- A person reviews every suggestion before it appears, usually within a day. The listing credits the creator and links their X post.
- People can use the form at https://botshelf.dev/#suggest or tag @cradrrat on X with the link.

## Notes

- "can", "runs" and "works_with" are read from each bot’s own description, not tested.
- Bookmark counts are recorded from X and keep changing there.
- Link to a bot’s Bot Shelf page or its Open in Bot link; credit the creator.
